BIOGRAPHY

Joe Wild* had a 30-year career with the Government of Canada with over 15 years in senior executive positions. 

He is committed to providing clients with strategic and practical advice on navigating Ottawa, advancing self-government, and working with Indigenous communities. Over the past decade, he led the Government of Canada’s efforts in negotiating and implementing treaties, self-government agreements, and other types of agreements with Indigenous Peoples in Canada. During that time, he led the reform of many policies and approaches that have resulted in billions of dollars of investment in Indigenous self-government and capacity building. He has worked extensively with Indigenous communities across the country.

Joe also has extensive experience in how government works, with expertise in the machinery of government. He has advised Her Majesty the Queen in Right of Canada, Governors General, Prime Ministers, Ministers, and Deputy Ministers. He has advised on matters relating to the structure of government, formation of Cabinet and Cabinet committees and the Cabinet decision-making process, as well as the dissolution and formation of government. He has led the development and implementation of reforms to accountability and governance mechanisms for government, including Crown corporations.
