Evan Cooke presented to the B.C. Expropriation Association

Evan Cooke presented to the B.C. Expropriation Association on May 19, 2022.

The presentation, “Old Roads, New Lake Boundaries, and Challenges of Historical Evidence”, took the audience through the long history of the historical land law disputes at the center of the Douglas Lake Cattle Company v. Nicola Valley Fish and Game Club, 2021 BCCA 99. Evan Cooke and Ryan Parsons of Eyford Partners represented the successful Douglas Lake Cattle Company from trial through to the Supreme Court of Canada, and had lessons to share regarding the assembly and effective presentation of complex historical evidence.

Evan Cooke was the President of the B.C. Expropriation Association from 2013 to 2021.
