Suri v. Johal, 2019 BCSC 703. Counsel for the defendants in a personal injury matter arising from two motor vehicle accidents. The plaintiff sought damages in excess of $600,000. The primary issues in dispute related to the plaintiff’s employability after the accidents, as well as the impact of her pre-existing health conditions. Following a lengthy cross-examination, the Court largely agreed with the defence submissions regarding the plaintiff’s credibility and ultimately awarded less than one-third of total damages claimed.
