Two of those few are at Eyford Partners, and we know of no firm with more appeal experience in British Columbia.
Decisions can always be challenged (or defended) in multiple ways. Success on appeal or judicial review requires an in-depth understanding of procedure, extensive advocacy experience, and an intuition for strategy. After completing judicial clerkships with appeal courts, the firm’s appeal counsel have continued to hone their craft through decades of appellate advocacy. We provide clients with sound counsel, educating them as to their options and advising them on the best course to take.
Our appellate team is generally retained when matters proceed on appeal, and most frequently represents clients in the Court of Appeal for British Columbia challenging or defending decisions of the Supreme Court of British Columbia. Our firm also has extensive experience in the Supreme Court of Canada and in judicial review proceedings from decision-makers such as municipal councils, regulators, and other administrative bodies.
