Cassie Lumsden is a Vancouver-based civil litigator with a broad civil litigation practice including municipal law, Aboriginal law, expropriation, insurance law, professional regulation, and judicial reviews. Cassie has advocated for clients before the BC Provincial Court and BC Supreme Court, and is passionate about crafting thoughtful, compelling arguments, and approaching legal challenges with a solutions-oriented approach.
Before joining Eyford Partners, Cassie articled with the BC Ministry of Attorney General, where she developed an interest in litigation, Aboriginal law, lands, and expropriation. Her background is focussed on environmental matters, having earned a Bachelor of Sciences in Geographical Sciences with distinction from the University of British Columbia in 2021 and a Juris Doctor from the University of Victoria with a concentration in environmental law and sustainability in 2024. Cassie is also a published author on international environmental marine law, having authored a chapter in the 2025 Routledge Handbook of Climate Law and Governance and a journal article in the University College Dublin Law Review.
